Update!

So, I haven't updated this since March, so let me give u the short story...

- I am a BENEFITED Employee at my work.
- I have taken the Leader Training course to become a leader in the Healthier Living Workshop to be able to teach.
- I have started teaching the Healthier Living Workshop at work and so far so good.
- Our (Joel and I) vacation in June-July was wonderful (more updates on that).
- Work has been crazy busy from March-June.
- Our annual volunteer Luncheon was in June for our volunteers at the hospital, and that turned out great.
- Our volunteer program at work was full to the max.

Our Vacation...I took vacation from June 27th-July 5th, 2009. We went back to OC again because that is where we wanted to go, to see some family. About a month and a half ago before this event, my brother came to SF to visit for a few hours before heading to China for his business trip, and invited Joel and I to go on vacation with my parents and his family. I was super excited because it was my first time on a family vacation, and this time Joel is going too. :) So I immediately asked for time off, and changed my flight to go back home. We flew home first, saw a few friends, and thanks to my good friend Scott, I was able to see my best friend that I haven't seen in over a year and a half. I almost had a tear in my eye cause it's been so long. Then the next day we had our drive to Las Vegas. Stayed in Cancun Resorts for 3 days. It was awesome, but the heat wasn't. 112 degree weather, and like 85 degrees at night. It was really nice to relax outside of work though. I dreaded going out to eat the whole time I was there, so I went grocery shopping. Bought food for everyone. I cooked dinner for 9 one of the nights and breakfast for 9 the next morning. My dinner was spaghetti with mushroom meat marinara sauce with garlic bread and side salad. My nephews loved every bit of it. For breakfast the next morning, I made scramble eggs, toast, bacon, and sausage. :) It was the first time I cooked for everyone and the first time I cooked for my family. I was so proud of myself.

We had the rest of the week to relax in OC after our Vegas trip. We hung out at my friend's Scott's place quite a few times. He has a brand new house with a full size pool and a basketball court. It was great! :) Spent 4th of july there too. It was Joel's first time celebrating 4th of July outside of the SF area. It was great.

I shall post up some photos later. :)

Volunteer Luncheon - June 24th, 2009...will be the next update another time. :)
